All three are rhythm section, all three are soloists \u2014 free to move in any direction and always open to improvisatory excursions. At the same time, transparent yet sustaining rhythmic and harmonic structures emerge, setting the music in motion.<\/p>\n<p>In the band&#8217;s compositions and improvisations, Latin American and West African rhythms meet folk-tinged melodies, funky grooves interweave with textures of layered sound.
