The Berlin-based trio SUBSYSTEM & HEINRICH KÖBBERLING explores the unusual sonic world of baritone saxophone, double bass and drums. In their compositions and improvisations, Latin American and West African rhythms blend with folkloric melodies, funky grooves with sound textures woven from noise. Between energetic solos and quirky humor, a broad spectrum of musical possibilities emerges – playful, experimental and with plenty of room for spontaneous encounters.
